In Asian cultures the mandarin is a symbol of luck, prosperity and wealth. In Floriography, (the language of flowers) zinnias are a symbol of friendship, and dogwoods are a symbol of love overcoming adversity. In this piece I am celebrating friendship, prosperity and love overcoming adversity. I'm staying positive in challenging times, as I look at this piece it feels like a mantra that better days are ahead.
