"Mum's Embrace" 

My work seems like happy generic flower paintings but dig deeper and you will find it is full of meaning. Nasturtiums symbolize a Mother's love. Chrysanthemums symbolize condolences. This piece is about caring for others. You see the stark pedals of the Chrysanthemum curling inward and the Nasturtiums surrounding the sorrow on all sides. The nasturtiums are protective and sheltering. The dark background gives way for reflection, and comfort.
